The Lane County Road Closures and
Construction Website provides information about closures and construction on
roads maintained by the County. An interactive map shows the geographical
location of the incidents as they exist within the County's boundary.
Road Closures exist where a
milepoint or segment of a County maintained road is closed to through traffic.
Road Construction exists where a
milepoint or segment of a County maintained road is currently undergoing
construction, which may cause a delay to through traffic.
Select one of the radio buttons
before clicking the map to perform the selected tool's action.
Select the "Zoom+"
radio button, then click on the map to zoom in and center at the clicked
location. You may draw a Zoom Box by holding down the left mouse button
and dragging a rectangular shape around the area of interest (not
for older versions of Netscape). For the Zoom Box to work, you must
release the button while the cursor is over the map. Note: Lane County
roads and incident segments will appear as you zoom in to 1:125,000.
Select the "Zoom-" radio button, then click on the map to zoom out and center at the clicked
location. You may draw a Zoom Box by holding down the left mouse button
and dragging a rectangular shape around the area of interest (not for older
versions of Netscape). You must release the mouse button while the cursor
is over the map.
Select
the "Recenter"
radio button, then click on the map to recenter the map at the
clicked location.
Select
the "Identify"
radio button, then click on an incident on the map to zoom to
the location and display detailed information below the map. Note: Road incidents are displayed as colored squares on the map; red closures, orange
construction.
Click on one of the two "Resize Map"
icons (

)
to resize the website for your browser. The smaller size is optimized for an
800 x 600 screen resolution, while the large size works best at 1024 x 768.
Click the "Refresh" icon
to refresh the map with the latest data.
Click the "Full Extent" icon 
to
reset the map viewing area to the full extent of Lane County.
Click on the "Legend" hyperlink to
display a map legend in a separate pop-up window. If the legend does not
display expected image, refresh your map first, then try clicking the
hyperlink again (the images associated with a map expire after 25 minutes of
inactivity).
Click the "Print" hyperlink to
display a new browser window with a printable map and legend. Incident details
will also be displayed if they are displayed below the map. If
the print page does not display expected images, click on the
map first, then try clicking the hyperlink again (the images associated with a
map expire after 25 minutes of inactivity). Note: The printable map will
be displayed in the size that was selected from the main form.
Click on a "Road Closures"
hyperlink to zoom in to the closure's location on the map and display details
in a table below the map. Note: Use the "<Prev" and "Next>" hyperlinks to
page through existing closure incidents.
Click on a "Road Construction" hyperlink to zoom in to the incident's location
on the map and display details in a table below the map. Note: Use the
"<Prev" and "Next>" hyperlinks to page through existing construction
incidents.
Click on a directional arrow button to scroll the map in the indicated direction (N - North, E - East, S - South, W - West)
